For a city hike, this is a great option. Lots of friendly people and dogs on the trail. It’s an easy 2.5 miles to the falls with a little adventure thrown in — the crossing of Hannan Creek. I took mud boots and easily crossed Hannan Creek along both the upper and lower trails. It was between 6-10 inches deep. The other option is crossing Hannan Creek on slippery logs. Didn’t see anyone fall in, but I preferred wading! Cherry Creek Falls is a very pretty falls and a lovely walk through the forest. We greatly enjoyed our 1/2 day adventure to this popular falls.
